It started with a jumper.

Happy Pig Designs was, initially, a way to use old or ruined jumpers. Whether they were shrunken, or full of holes, they were unwearable. I knew unless I repurposed them, they would have to be thrown away. I have a degree in Art and Design, and used my experience in textiles to make my first blanket for my son, using those old jumpers. After that, friends were asking for baby blankets, then cushions, then bunting... and in 2009, I started Happy Pig Designs.

Recycling and sustainability are at the heart of Happy Pig Designs. The 100% cashmere I use for my wrist warmers and fingerless gloves is always recycled, and made with good quality cotton thread to ensure that one pair lasts you more than a season.

I make custom blankets that are often built using materials the customer has given me, which adds a personal touch to each creation.

Right now my Happy Pig products are sold primarily through Etsy and small independent shops.
